Groups involved in delivering community projects in Newton-le-Willows have until 31 January to put forward their case for funding under the latest round of Ward Member Grants.
Ward councillors in Newton-le-Willows are able to submit applications on behalf of eligible community or voluntary groups for a grant up to £2,000.
The fund can support a range of activities and projects that will support or improve community wellbeing in the area.
Projects or activities must not require any ongoing costs such as maintenance or revenue that the council would be liable for.
If you’re involved in a local group or project, you’ll need to provide details of the work it does locally, and how it benefits Community Wellbeing along with two contacts for your community or voluntary group and bank account details. A copy of the group’s constitution, terms of reference or Minutes of meetings will also need to be provided.
Each councillor in every ward is able to submit applications on behalf of groups for up to £2,000 per year with two windows per year for applications. The latest round of applications must be submitted by 31 January 2026.
Groups that receive a grant will be required to sign a grant agreement with terms and conditions.
