Christmas Cottages put on another spectacular Christmas display

by Gemma Melling

The residents of one Newton-le-Willows street have been particularly busy getting ready for Christmas – as they know they’ll be getting thousands of visitors, every single day!

The cottages and residents of Crow Lane East have become renowned for their spectacular Christmas lights displays, which wow everyone who passes and raise thousands of pounds for good causes, too.

This year, this community spirited group began lighting their homes to the delight of local visitors on Saturday, 30 November, and now they’re urging people who enjoy the display to give generously to a cause that’s close to their hearts.

Once again their chosen charity is is Willowbrook Hospice – a place which has helped so many local loved ones. Visitors to the Christmas Cottages are asked to donate if they can via the Just Giving page which has been set up for the cause.

Writing on their Facebook page, the residents said: “Once again, this year, we will be supporting Willowbrook Hospice, a place which has helped so many of our loved ones. Everyone on ‘the lane’ does what they do because they love it – and how it makes everyone feels at this special time of year.”

If you would like to give a donation as a little thank you to the residents, please visit their Just Giving page.

These Christmas Cottages will now be illuminated every night thrhoughout December – so go along after dark and see them in all their glory while you can!
