Cottages prepare for another spectacular Christmas display

by Gemma Melling

The residents of one Newton-le-Willows street are particularly busy getting ready for Christmas – as they know they’ll be getting thousands of visitors, every single day!

The cottages and residents of Crow Lane East have become renowned for their spectacular Christmas lights displays, which wow everyone who passes and raise thousands of pounds for good causes, too.

This year, this community spirited group have announced that the grand switch on will take place on Saturday, 2 December at 7pm.

One of the stunning garden displays from previous years.

And they’ll once again be raising money for Willowbrook Hospice – a place which has helped so many local loved ones.

Writing on their Facebook page, the residents said: “Everyone on ‘the lane’ does what they do because they love it – and how it makes everyone feels at this special time of year – so 100% of any donation goes directly to Willowbrook.”

If you would like to give a donation as a little thank you to the residents, please visit their Just Giving page.
