The Newton-le-Willows Neighbourhood Board is looking for two new members to join the team driving forward an exciting £20 million regeneration programme for the town.
The Board has already done significant work, carrying out community consultation and using local data to draw up a Regeneration Plan and four-year Investment Plan, which was submitted to Government in November 2025. The funding will be invested in Newton-le-Willows over the next ten years, with four priority areas identified: Regeneration, High Streets and Heritage; Education and Opportunity; Health and Wellbeing; and Cohesion.
The two new positions are specifically aimed at people with backgrounds in Education and Opportunity or Health and Wellbeing, areas where the Board wants to strengthen its expertise as it moves into the delivery phase of the programme.
If you have relevant experience in either of these areas and a genuine commitment to the future of Newton-le-Willows, the Board would love to hear from you. Applications are open until Monday, 23 March 2026.
Chris Hickey, Chair of the Newton-le-Willows Neighbourhood Board, said: “As a Board we have made major progress since the confirmation of Plan for Neighbourhoods funding.
“We have worked with the community to really understand what their priorities are and now we are looking for individuals who share our passion for the town and have the expertise to help us shape plans as we move to the next stage of delivery.
“This is a really exciting time for Newton-le-Willows and joining the Board is an opportunity to help make our town an even better place to live, work and visit.”
