Earlestown gets an autumn makeover from young volunteers

by Gemma Melling

A big thank you to these green-fingered young volunteers from Business for Youth in Newton-le-Willows, who’ve once again been out making Earlestown look bright and welcoming with a display of autumnal blooms.

The young people are all part of Business for Youth’s Junior Gardening Club, so are no strangers to getting their hands dirty and working wonders with plants and edibles.

As well as maintaining their own gardens and vegetable patches this year, the young people have also been helping maintain the planters in Earlestown town centre, which have looked lovely all year. Most recently, they cleared away the fading summer flowers and replaced with some autumn / winter colour.

The flowers already look great, and will continue to do so for months to come.

Well done Business for Youth!
