St Helens & Warrington (SWANS) CTC Cycling Club
St Helens & Warrington CTC Cycling Club – aka Swan CTC – hold regular weekly rides every Wednesday (short rides) and Sunday (full day rides), starting from either Earlestown Market or The Stag at Walton.
This established and friendly cycling club, affiliated to Cycling UK, welcomes riders of all abilities – so why not join in with their next ride?
The group rides at an easy pace of between 10 and 12 mph, with typical distances of 35 to 50 miles in length. Electric bikes as well as pedal power are welcome. The club knows many interesting routes throughout Cheshire, Lancashire, Merseyside and beyond that you probably wouldn’t discover riding solo, so not only is it a great way to meet new people, it’s also a brilliant way to get to know the wider area, too.
Check the ride schedule to find out where the upcoming rides will depart from. They usually set off around 9.30am or 10am. New riders should contact the group via their website www.sthelensandwarringtonctc.org before their first ride for details of the planned route and and food / drink /clothing requirements.
