Vulcan Walking Football

Come along every Monday to improve your fitness and meet new people with walking football sessions at Vulcan Sports Club.

There are two sessions to choose form – at 1pm or 7pm – and there’s no need to book, just turn up!

The Vulcan Walking Football Club are affiliated to the Walking Football Association, and offer a really brilliant and inclusive way for you to enjoy taking part in a gentler form of sport, whilst also getting to know new people.

And according to the Walking Football Association, there are numerous physical and mental benefits of taking part in the sport: studies have shown it helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke, while improving blood pressure.

It also helps achieve positive changes in postural balance, blood pressure and resting heart rate, and can lead to lower cholesterol, improved blood sugar levels, bone density – and reduce your risk of type 2 diabetes.
