StedyChefs Learning Centre, an award winning provider of alternative day services for adults with additional needs, is expanding into Newton-le-Willows soon, opening up on Alder Street in the coming months.
So that local families can get a taster of what it offers, they’re inviting you along to an open day at their Liverpool centre on Wednesday 4 February 2026. The event gives you the chance to experience a typical day at StedyChefs, meet the team, and learn about the opportunities at the new centre.
Founded in 2017, StedyChefs helps adults develop independence, confidence, and life skills through hands-on learning centred around cooking. Students prepare meals, grow vegetables, practise kitchen safety, and take part in social and creative activities in a supportive environment.
The service includes full staff support, lunch, chef uniforms, transport, and regular day trips. Students attend independently, promoting self-reliance, and the centre cannot accommodate individuals who display challenging behaviours.
StedyChefs also offers recognised Food Safety and Hygiene qualifications and partners with local businesses to provide work experience and educational trips.
The Newton-le-Willows centre is expected to open within the next few months, and strong interest in placements is already being received.
Families interested in attending the open day can email info@stedy-chefs.co.uk or call 01519361968 to arrange a suitable arrival time.
