Staff at Kershaw Day Support Centre in Newton-le-Willows have been helping to get service users into the festive spirit with a series of Christmas parties.
Kershaw provides a day care service for over 55s living with dementia, learning or physical disabilities.
Taking place over three days, the parties have seen service users tuck into a tasty Christmas dinner before an afternoon of festive entertainment.
Brenda Barrowman, manager at Kershaw, said: “We’re very conscious that people live alone and their families live away, so sometimes they’re on their own throughout the Christmas period, so it’s keeping them involved in Christmas.
“It brings people together and they form friendships – it’s a tradition that we’ve done every year here at Kershaw.
“We are very lucky to have a marvellous staff team who always make the parties enjoyable for our lovely service users.”
