Local nurseries have a new opportunity to gain regional recognition, after the Educate Awards launched a brand new category for this year’s awards.
The Most Inspirational Nursery award has been introduced by the Educate Awards – the largest education awards in the North West – to celebrate nurseries that make a lasting difference to children aged between nought and four.
Private, voluntary and independent nurseries, school-based nurseries, and local authority nursery schools in Newton-le-Willows are all eligible to enter.
To be considered, nurseries will need to demonstrate innovative approaches, show evidence of age-appropriate progress and attainment, and highlight the positive impact they have made on children, families and the wider community during the 2025/26 academic year.
Kim O’Brien, Founder of Educate Awards, said: “Nurseries play a vital role in shaping confident, curious children, and they truly deserve to be celebrated. We look forward to reading about the outstanding work being delivered by nurseries across Newton-le-Willows, and shining a well-deserved spotlight on teams who give children the very best start in life.”
The award is free to enter. Submissions should be no more than 800 words, accompanied by a 200-word summary, and entries close on Thursday, 16 July 2026.
This year’s Educate Awards ceremony will take place at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral on Friday, 13 November 2026, marking the fifteenth year of the awards. Across all 21 categories, the awards celebrate every aspect of school life – from outstanding teachers and support staff to inspiring settings.
