Resource bus keeps Hope Academy pupils in touch

by Gemma Melling

As students at Hope Academy begin a phased return to school this week, we wanted to share a quick thank you to staff at the school who’ve been out and about on the ‘Resource Bus’ for the past nine weeks.

The bus has been calling at different locations throughout Newton-le-Willows, Earlestown and Wargrave, giving out essential equipment and keeping in touch with pupils who’ve been at home doing remote learning.

The bus has been well stocked with items including exercise books, plain paper, pens and pencils, graph paper, highlighters – even sanitary products.

Not only has this been a great help to pupils and families who may have struggled to get hold of the supplies they needed, it’s been a great way for the pupils to still feel connected with their school and teachers during this lockdown.

Well done to everyone involved!
