The Newton-le-Willows road closures you need to know about

Here's the planned roadworks and closures that might affect your journey.

Planned roadworks in Newton-le-Willows:

Winwick Lane, at the junction with Mill Lane

Temporary traffic lights will be in place until May, whilst work on the new Parkside Link Road is carried out.

Parkside Road

Temporary lights will also be in place on Parkside Road from Monday, 7 February  due to the ongoing Link Road construction. These are expected to remain until 11 March.

Wargrave Road

Works by United Utilities will take place for one day on Wargrave Road, near The Vulcan Inn, on Tuesday, 25 January.

Meanwhile, in a similar location, Virgin Media will have temporary lights in place from Monday, 24 January until Wednesday, 26 January.

Further up Wargrave Road, near the junction with Oak Avenue, delays are likely from Monday, 31 Jan – Wednesday, 2 Feb, 2022, whilst United Utilities carry out works. Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in place.

Crow Lane West

Multi-way signals will be in place on Thur 3 February for works by the council, and again on Thursday 10 Feb for works by United Utilities.

There will then be temporary lights in place on Wednesday, 16 February, due to works by Openreach.

Bradlegh Road

There will be temporary lights in place on Friday, 4 February, for works by United Utilities.
