Shakey Js expands High Street offer

by Gemma Melling

A popular milkshake and sweet treats business has expanded its business by opening up in larger premises on Newton High Street this week.

Shakey Js – which once could only offer takeaway – has moved into the former Chouxchouxbedoo café (which sadly closed in October). The premises has a fantastic new look and customers can now dine in, enjoying a wider menu with choices such as cooked breakfasts and burgers with dirty fries.

The family diner is run by Chris Jackson and Claire Maguire, who have already built up a fantastic local reputation with their tempting milkshakes and favourites like sweet waffles.

Now there is even more to enjoy at the new-look Shakey Js, which officially opened on Monday, 9 January.

Shakey Js is open seven days a week, with breakfast served until 2pm and burger bar menu from 3.30pm. Soon, you’ll be able to book a booth online when the businesses new website goes live. In the meantime, you can find them on Facebook.

So why not give them a try today?

Thanks to Cllr Terry Maguire for use of his photos.
