The walkers enjoyed good company, a winter stroll, hot food… and learnt a lot about local history and heritage, too.

Newton-le-Willows pulled out all the stops once again to mark the King’s Coronation with a whole host of events which showcased everything that’s good about the town.

Young volunteers hosted a cream tea party for older people in the community over the Jubilee weekend, with plenty of patriotic spirit thrown in!

People in Newton-le-Willows turned out for a 24 hour walk, held in solidarity with the plight of all those affected by conflict in Ukraine.

There was a real party atmosphere as Business for Youth organised a charity walk through Lime and Woods Country Park, followed by a free family fun day!
